St. Mary's Medical Centre is a Catholic healthcare facility located in Kapsoya Estate, Eldoret. It was established by the Medical Missionaries of Mary (MMM) in 2000 by Sr. Patricia Hoey, beginning as a mobile clinic held twice a week in Munyaka.
The health facility was established with the aim of providing basic quality care, as there were little medical services available to the residents of Kapsoya, Chepkoilel and their environs at that time. The entry points were the churches, schools and door-to-door VCT services.
The Medical Centre was registered with the Ministry of Health in November 2002. Over the years, the facility grew from a small mobile clinic to a fully-fledged medical centre serving thousands of patients annually.
On 1st September 2023, the Medical Missionaries of Mary (MMM) handed over the health facility to the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, who continues to operate and expand its services. This transition marked a new chapter in the hospital's history, strengthening its commitment to serving the community through quality healthcare.
